Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gus Bad Man (ranked 5132 p4p, 454 weight class) and Purple Karaage (ranked 24640 p4p, 636 weight class). Gus Bad Man could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Purple Karaage's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gus Bad Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Purple Karaage!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Karaage tries to sprawl but Bad Man drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Karaage looks like he's trying to stand up.
Bad Man is controlling the pace.
Bad Man takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Karaage looks like he's trying to stand up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bad Man is pressing down on Karaage's thigh, looking to free his foot. Karaage is holding on for now.
Bad Man trying to control the pace.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bad Man seems to be looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bad Man thows a huge punch but Karaage dodges it nicely.

Bad Man stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Karaage to get to his feet.
A head kick from Karaage lands but Bad Man takes it in his stride.
Karaage feints and then cracks Bad Man's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bad Man down.
Bad Man closes the distance but Karaage moves to the side
and Karaage counters with a one-two to the body.
Karaage connects with a high kick.

Karaage gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bad Man tries to free his leg and advance position but Karaage is retaining full guard.
Bad Man throws a big elbow that misses.
Bad Man prevents Karaage from getting back to his feet.
Bad Man works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Karaage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bad Man. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bad Man throwing shots but Karaage is blocking nicely.
Bad Man not doing much here.
Bad Man's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Bad Man seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Karaage for as long as he can get away with.

Bad Man missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Karaage is looking to escape.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bad Man is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Bad Man fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Karaage to the ground. Bad Man is now in Karaage's guard.
Karaage is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bad Man is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Bad Man could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bad Man has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Karaage utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bad Man prevents Karaage from getting back to his feet.
Bad Man might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Karaage keeping full guard, as Bad Man tries to pass.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gus Bad Man dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


A head kick from Karaage lands but Bad Man takes it in his stride.
Karaage fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Bad Man takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Karaage clinches.

Karaage breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bad Man misses with a head kick.
Karaage chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Bad Man is looking to clinch but Karaage is avoiding it.
Bad Man closes the distance but Karaage moves to the side
and Karaage counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Some wild striking there from Karaage.
Bad Man is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bad Man throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Karaage was covering up waiting for the punch and Bad Man finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Karaage is wriggling around but Bad Man manages to pass to half guard.


Bad Man seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Karaage is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Gus Bad Man!
