Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tad Serrano (ranked 5732 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mati Karppinen (ranked 6041 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tad Serrano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mati Karppinen! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karppinen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Serrano napping and manages to drive through into side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Karppinen working away. Serrano tries to improve position but can't. Serrano dodges the ground and pound from Karppinen. Karppinen wants to stand but Serrano is controlling his arm. Serrano is trying to improve his position. Serrano is working hard here to advance position. Karppinen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Karppinen trying to control the position but Serrano is working away. Serrano tries to bench press Karppinen off him but Karppinen keeps the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Karppinen tries to advance to mount but can't. Serrano bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Karppinen clinches up with Serrano and pushes him back against the cage. Serrano gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Serrano cracks Karppinen with a solid left hand. Serrano working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Serrano chips away with some ground and pound. Serrano scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Serrano lands a couple of digs. Serrano scoring with some ground and pound. Karppinen looks winded! Serrano works over Karppinen with some ground and pound from guard. Serrano scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Karppinen wants to sweep but no luck. Serrano will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Serrano scoring with punches to the head and body. Serrano distracts Karppinen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Serrano lands a couple of decent looking shots. Serrano landing some decent shots from guard. Serrano scoring with some ground and pound. Serrano got a little sloppy there for a moment and Karppinen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Serrano has managed to get both his arms back between Karppinen's legs - danger averted. Serrano lands a couple of elbows.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Serrano with a nice head shot there. Serrano works over Karppinen with some ground and pound from guard. Serrano lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Serrano stands up over Karppinen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Serrano postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Serrano lands a couple of decent looking shots. Karppinen working a defensive guard here.

Serrano postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Karppinen covers up, he's hurt! Serrano keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Serrano and the ref steps in to end the fight! Serrano can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
