Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chunzhi Zheng (ranked 3619 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Loiseau (ranked 4705 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chunzhi Zheng! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles Loiseau! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Dean Styles and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Loiseau shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zheng pinned against the cage. Zheng gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Zheng. Zheng looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Zheng fails with a takedown attempt. Zheng gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zheng pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Zheng keeps the fight on the outside. Zheng half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Loiseau has a takedown stuffed. Zheng throws a quick counter kick to the body but Loiseau avoids it.

Loiseau tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zheng swats him away and circles back towards the center. Loiseau misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zheng throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Loiseau tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Zheng is in Loiseau's guard. Zheng is standing up over Loiseau. Loiseau looks to escape but Zheng dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Loiseau really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zheng. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Zheng controls the position from side control. Zheng stands up and beckons Loiseau to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zheng fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Loiseau darts in looking for a takedown but Zheng gets double underhooks and turns Loiseau into the cage. Zheng defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Loiseau. Loiseau shoots for a takedown but Zheng saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Zheng shoots in but Loiseau avoids the takedown attempt easily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Loiseau moves in looking to clinch but Zheng pushes him off. Zheng drives through and clinches with Loiseau against the cage.

Zheng jumps guard but Loiseau stands there with Zheng around his waist. Zheng gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Loiseau wants to take the fight to the mat but Zheng manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Loiseau has had enough of the clinch but Zheng keeps him there for the moment. Zheng has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Loiseau is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Zheng jumps into guard, dragging Loiseau to the mat.
Zheng pulls Loiseau in to control the position. Loiseau wants to control from the top but Zheng keeps moving. Zheng has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Loiseau has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Zheng is proving hard to escape from. Zheng is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Loiseau defends well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zheng looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Loiseau pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zheng is keeping the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zheng's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Zheng has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Loiseau avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Zheng has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Loiseau uses from the top position.

He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Zheng passes his arm under Loiseau's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Loiseau taps!
