Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mitch Raynes (ranked 4486 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blake Radmon (ranked 7192 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mitch Raynes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Blake Radmon! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raynes moves to clinch but Radmon breaks away so Radmon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Radmon tries to free his leg and advance position but Raynes is retaining full guard. Radmon stopping the sweep attempt from Raynes. Raynes wants to stand and escape but Radmon is having none of it. Radmon trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Raynes looking for a sweep. Not yet Raynes, not yet. Radmon avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Raynes looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Raynes is adopting a defensive guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raynes wants to sweep but no luck. Raynes trying to keep a closed guard but Radmon is proving a slippery customer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Radmon sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Raynes's guard. Raynes is looking to get back to full guard here but Radmon has managed to pass to side control instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Raynes pushes Radmon away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Radmon gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Radmon swings around for an armbar but Raynes sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Radmon's guard. Raynes wanted to stand there but Radmon had control of the position. Raynes advances to half guard. Raynes content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Radmon wants to get back to his feet. Raynes trying to control from half guard but Radmon is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Radmon is trying to stand.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Raynes is looking to take a break and control but Radmon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raynes tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Radmon defends well and Raynes ends up having to push Radmon into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Raynes fails in his attempt to clinch. Radmon shoots in but no luck this time. Radmon tries for a takedown but Raynes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Raynes is defended easily by Radmon. Radmon is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Raynes dives in and scores a takedown into Radmon's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raynes stays in close to Radmon's body and controls the position. Radmon keeping moving, preventing Raynes from controlling successfully. Raynes showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Raynes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Radmon is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Radmon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Raynes defends it easily. Mitch Raynes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Raynes trying to control but Radmon is working from the bottom. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Raynes throws a front kick aimed at Radmon's knee but Radmon avoids it well. A head kick misses from Raynes. Radmon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Raynes circles away. Mitch Raynes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blake Radmon. Raynes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Radmon manages to avoid it. Despite the aggression on Radmon's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Raynes throws a sloppy head kick and Radmon moves out of range easily. Radmon throws a counter combo. Raynes tries to clinch there but Radmon circles away.
Radmon steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Raynes. Radmon gets caught flat footed, as Raynes shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Raynes stands up and waves to Radmon to follow him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Raynes misses with a straight left. Radmon checks a low kick from Raynes. Radmon lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. A looping hook to the body misses from Raynes. Radmon does a little dance to reset his feet. Radmon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Radmon wants it to stay on the feet. Raynes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Radmon counters with a two punch combo. Raynes moves out of range as Radmon throws a body kick.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Radmon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Raynes sprawls well initially but Radmon persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Raynes pushes Radmon off and gets back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mitch Raynes dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Radmon on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Raynes is working for a kimura but Radmon is defending it quite comfortably.

Radmon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Raynes lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Radmon down.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Raynes works his way into full mount! Raynes wants to control the pace but Radmon is squirming around nicely. Raynes with good strikes from the mount here!

Raynes content just to control the position here. Blake Radmon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Raynes lands a nice shot to the head. Raynes jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Radmon is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Radmon and Raynes has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

And that's the end of the fight! Mitch Raynes showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Raynes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
