Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roman Divac (ranked 1003 p4p, 135 weight class) and Denny Sideman (ranked 876 p4p, 120 weight class). Divac comes to the cage accompanied by Nas- Do you hate me now. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roman Divac!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Denny Sideman!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Sideman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


It looks like Roman Divac has been cut.
Sideman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Divac manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Sideman has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Divac is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Denny Sideman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Denny Sideman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Divac got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sideman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Divac has managed to get both his arms back between Sideman's legs - danger averted.

Divac would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sideman looking for a guillotine here but Divac defends easily.

A less than humble Denny Sideman misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
Roman Divac was interviewed post fight and said 'Looks like the blind squirrel found a nut. Go play the lottery while you can b/c that 1 in a million shot ain't happening next time you bum!'.
