The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That was a close round but I would say that Tommy Vores will probably get the nod.

Pritchett pushes Vores off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Vores throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

and Vores counters with a left and a right that stings Pritchett.

Pritchett swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Vores is now in Pritchett's guard. A big mistake from Pritchett there, giving up the dominant position!
Vores slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pritchett tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vores wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Vores lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Pritchett down.

Vores swings around for an armbar but Pritchett sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Vores's guard.

Pritchett feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Vores had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pritchett is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Vores Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pritchett's back instead.
Vores doesn't have the hooks in and Pritchett manages to turn into his guard.
Vores bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pritchett's guard.
