The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Absame counters with a one-two to the body.
We've been hearing reports that Absame has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Absame checks a leg kick nicely.
It looked like Absame was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Jackson tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Absame connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Jackson is rocked!
Jackson closes the distance but Absame moves to the side
and Absame counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Absame moves forwards but Jackson connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Jackson pushes Absame up against the cage in a clinch.

Absame wants to break the clinch but can't.
Absame is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Absame tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jackson smiles and moves away.

Jackson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Absame counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The fighters circling - Jackson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jackson tries to clinch but Absame moves out of range.
Absame half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Jackson misses the jab.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Absame paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Absame attempts a counter takedown but Jackson avoids it well and moves away.
Absame fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Absame lands a right hook to the body.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses
and Absame counters with a nice uppercut.

Jackson pushes Absame off and gets back to his feet.

Jackson seems to have recovered his senses.
Ade Absame has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demarcus Jackson.

Jackson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Absame is aware though and is defending well.
Absame wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.

Jackson looking for a triangle here. Absame is fighting it but it looks tight! Jackson pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Absame is tapping out - this one is all over!
