Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jay Jackson (ranked 4672 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomas Deak (ranked 7204 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jay Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tomas Deak! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Deak's guard. Deak keeping full guard, as Jackson tries to pass. Jackson postures up.
Jackson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Jackson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jackson with a flurry of punches that miss. Deak avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Deak pushes Jackson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Deak moves into the clinch successfully.
Jackson is trying to break the clinch but Deak is controlling him. Jackson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Deak up against the cage. Jackson throws a head punch that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Deak drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jackson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Deak drags the fight down to the ground.
Jackson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Deak's guard. Jackson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Deak should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Deak is striking but Jackson is not phased and passes to half guard. Deak is looking to control Jackson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Deak avoid being mounted?

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson wants to stand but Deak has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Deak looking for subs from the bottom but Jackson mounts him! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Deak tries to hold on but Jackson postures up. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Deak manages to regain half guard. Good work. Deak looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Jackson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Deak is looking to control Jackson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Deak avoid being mounted?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jackson in particular looking to stall. Jackson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Deak for as long as he can get away with. Deak wants to improve his position but Jackson is controlling well.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Deak throws a head kick that misses. Jackson closes the distance and clinches. Jackson is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Deak is keeping busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Jackson dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Deak will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. An attempted straight right counter from Jackson misses the target. Jackson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Deak did well to prevent Jackson getting side control. Deak pushes Jackson off and gets back to his feet. Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Deak drives through with a takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jackson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Deak puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Jackson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Deak's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Deak's back! Jackson is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Deak rolls, trying to escape but Jackson keeps control of the position.
Deak manages to stand up with Jackson still on his back. Eventually Jackson drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Deak catches Jackson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Jackson throws the kick towards the body but Deak avoids it. Jackson tries to clinch up but Deak circles away and keeps his distance. Deak keeps the fight on the outside. Deak drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Deak postures up.
Deak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Deak trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jackson doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Deak lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Jackson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jackson tries to get out of the position. Jackson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Deak's corner is telling him to maintain position. Deak stands and steps away. Jackson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Deak tries to clinch but Jackson moves out of range. Deak closes the distance and clinches. Deak decides to pull guard. Deak throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy. Jackson prevents Deak from getting back to his feet. Deak is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Deak looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jackson throws a strike but Deak rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Deak trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Deak gets to his feet. Jackson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Excellent takedown into side control there by Jackson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Deak holding on. Deak wants to control but Jackson postures up. Jackson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Deak gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Deak manages to get to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tomas Deak showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Deak shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jackson sprawls well. Jackson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Deak gets slowly back to his feet. Jackson shoots in and bounces Deak off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Deak tries to land a sweep but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Deak controlling the position. Jackson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Deak working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jackson lands a couple of decent looking shots. Deak has a closed guard, preventing Jackson from standing up. Deak is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Deak bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jackson's guard. Deak wants to pass the guard but Jackson is keeping the position. Jackson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Deak controls the pace. Jackson looking to control.
Deak won't allow Jackson to sweep him here. Jackson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Deak wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.

Jackson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Deak did well to prevent Jackson getting side control. Jackson stops Deak from getting back to his feet.
Jackson tries to stand and escape but Deak is controlling the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jackson wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Deak uses the opportunity to regain full guard. Jackson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Deak is proving hard to escape from. Deak is trying to control the position but Jackson postures up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Deak shoots in looking for a takedown but Jackson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Deak's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jay Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomas Deak. Deak throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jackson went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Deak tries to clinch up. Jackson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Deak did well to prevent Jackson getting side control. Deak kicks Jackson off and gets back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Deak closes the distance and clinches. Deak keeps control of Jackson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Tomas Deak. I think Deak has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
