Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leif Blankenship (ranked 4674 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Diaz (ranked 4673 p4p, 462 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leif Blankenship! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tony Diaz! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blankenship looking to score a takedown here. Diaz is defending well but Blankenship drives through and ends up in Diaz's guard. Blankenship controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz working for a triangle but Blankenship defends it easily.
Blankenship got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diaz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Blankenship has managed to get both his arms back between Diaz's legs - danger averted. Diaz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Blankenship controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blankenship has gone for a leg lock! Diaz slips out almost immediately though and dives into Blankenship's guard. Diaz wants to control from the top but Blankenship keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz throwing strikes from guard but Blankenship blocks nicely. Blankenship utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Blankenship keeping full guard, as Diaz tries to pass. Blankenship knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diaz on the ground. Blankenship keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Diaz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Diaz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Blankenship works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Diaz is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Blankenship is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Blankenship has escaped and now he's on top! Diaz controls Blankenship momentarily but Blankenship frees himself. Diaz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Diaz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Blankenship postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz looking for a guillotine here but Blankenship defends easily.
Diaz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Blankenship defends it easily. Blankenship looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Diaz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Blankenship is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Diaz has his foot on Blankenship's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Blankenship works his way back into a safe position though. Blankenship has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Blankenship controls from within his opponent's guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Diaz is looking to stand up but Blankenship isn't so interested in that idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Diaz dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Diaz misses with a takedown attempt and Blankenship counters with a two punch combo. Blankenship has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Blankenship tries a head kick but it misses.
Blankenship darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Diaz wants to get back to full guard. Blankenship seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Diaz trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Blankenship manages to pass to mount!
This has been an exciting period of action! Blankenship controlling the pace for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz is working to get back to half guard.
Diaz tries to lock up and control but Blankenship gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Diaz gets back to half guard. Diaz gets back to full guard.
Blankenship is sitting in close to Diaz's body. Diaz has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Blankenship is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Blankenship is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Diaz.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Tony Diaz! Tony Diaz spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
