Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Diaz (ranked 6887 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kieran Cronin (ranked 4510 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by 2pac-Ambitionz az a Ridah. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cronin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Diaz napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Cronin cracks Diaz with a big right hand but Diaz just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
It looks like Jason Diaz has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cronin landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Cronin prevents Diaz from escaping the position.
Cronin lands an elbow.
Jason Diaz's cut is getting worse.
Cronin is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Cronin lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Diaz down.
Jason Diaz's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jason Diaz's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Jason Diaz was interviewed post fight and said 'This guy was super tough. Gonna go Back to the drawing board. I'll be back'.
