Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chance Shamrock (ranked 5108 p4p, 507 weight class) and Krakers Smudak (ranked 2840 p4p, 347 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chance Shamrock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Krakers Smudak! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smudak shoots for a double leg takedown but Shamrock sprawls well. He's pushed Smudak's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Shamrock rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smudak moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Smudak drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Shamrock has his feet on Smudak's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Chance Shamrock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smudak tries for a takedown but Shamrock circles away easily enabling Shamrock to counter with a crisp jab. Smudak takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Smudak is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shamrock dives in and grabs Smudak's left leg, looking for a takedown. Smudak pushes down on Shamrock's head and hops out. Smudak shoots in but Shamrock avoids the takedown attempt easily. Chance Shamrock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krakers Smudak. Nice sprawl there from Smudak as Shamrock shoots in. Shamrock looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Smudak looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smudak is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Smudak wants to control but Shamrock is keeping busy.
Shamrock is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Smudak manages to get to full guard. Shamrock stays in close to Smudak's body and controls the position. Shamrock wants to stand but Smudak is controlling his posture from full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Shamrock passes Smudak's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Smudak is trying to get back to full guard. Shamrock looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Shamrock is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Smudak reverses the position - he's now on top in Shamrock's guard. Shamrock on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shamrock tries to get out of the position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Shamrock is trying to hold Smudak in close to prevent damage but Smudak has managed to pass into half guard.
Smudak looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shamrock with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smudak is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Smudak is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Smudak wants to control but Shamrock is keeping him busy. Smudak thows a huge punch but Shamrock dodges it nicely.
Smudak is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Shamrock sees it coming and defends easily. Smudak trying to control from half guard but Shamrock is working away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Smudak is looking for submissions but instead, Shamrock has regained full guard.
Smudak in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chance Shamrock dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Shamrock is looking for a takedown. Smudak is working for takedown but Shamrock is calmly controlling the position for now. Smudak drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shamrock pulls his leg out and moves away.
Shamrock keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Shamrock swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Chance Shamrock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krakers Smudak. Shamrock gets a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shamrock breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shamrock closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Smudak tries to score a body lock takedown but Shamrock shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Shamrock works on Smudak's body with a couple of short punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smudak is working for takedown but Shamrock is calmly controlling the position for now. Smudak tries for a takedown but Shamrock manages to get underhooks.
Smudak is breathing heavily. Shamrock wants to break free but Smudak has control.

Shamrock closes the distance and clinches. Smudak is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Shamrock pulls him back up using the underhooks. That will dishearten Shamrock somewhat. Shamrock clinches up with Smudak and pushes him back against the cage.

Shamrock tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Shamrock wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Smudak has him pressed against the cage. Shamrock drags the fight down to the ground.
Smudak with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Smudak wants to control from the top but Shamrock keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shamrock escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smudak gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shamrock is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Smudak trying to control the position from guard on top but Shamrock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Smudak missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Smudak trying to control but Shamrock is working from the bottom. Shamrock controlling Smudak's posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Shamrock preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Shamrock gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Smudak to score an easy takedown into full guard. Smudak sitting in guard here, content to control. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Shamrock is on top in guard.

As Smudak looks to move away, Shamrock throws a big counter combo but Smudak just gets out of the way. Smudak shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shamrock sprawls well. Shamrock wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Smudak gets slowly back to his feet. Chance Shamrock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krakers Smudak. Smudak shoots in and drives through. Shamrock sprawls well. Smudak's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Shamrock connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Smudak scrambles back to his feet. Shamrock dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Smudak dives in and grabs Shamrock's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shamrock pushes down on Smudak's head and hops out. Shamrock appears to be looking for a big counter. Shamrock has managed to clinch.

Shamrock is pulling down on Smudak's head to control his posture. Shamrock controls Smudak momentarily but Smudak frees himself. Shamrock tries to land a sweep but no joy. Shamrock is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Smudak can do to turn this around? Smudak is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Smudak postures up in Shamrock's guard and throws a big left but Shamrock blocks it. Smudak with a flurry of punches that miss. Shamrock is trying to keep Smudak in close.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smudak keeps the fight on the outside. Smudak dodges the punch combination from Shamrock.
Shamrock feints a jab promting Smudak to slip. Shamrock then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Smudak slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Smudak has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Shamrock keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Chance Shamrock is winning the standup battle so far. Smudak shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shamrock as he avoids it easily. A counter left hand to the body from Shamrock misses its target. Shamrock tries for a takedown but Smudak sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smudak gets tackled into the cage by Shamrock. Shamrock maintains the clinch. Shamrock has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Smudak after a bit of a struggle. Smudak drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shamrock pulls his leg out and moves away.

Great action here. Shamrock shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smudak as he avoids it easily. Smudak uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shamrock.
Smudak shoots in for a double leg but Shamrock sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Smudak misses with a takedown attempt and Shamrock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shamrock clinches with his opponent.
Shamrock is trying to trip Smudak. He has hold of a leg but Smudak is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Shamrock persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Chance Shamrock showed his dominance in that final round. Well Shamrock has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
