The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romo tries to clinch but Doolittle is having none of it.
Doolittle throws out a head kick that Romo doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Romo crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Romo's eyes and has decided to let it go on!
It looks like John Kyle Romo has been cut.
Romo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Doolittle has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
