Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rex Farley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, William Williams! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams gets in close and instigates a clinch. Farley works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Williams has his feet on Farley's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Williams drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Williams scoring with punches to the head and body. Farley is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Williams is aware though and is defending well. Williams stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Farley swivels though and keeps the full guard. Williams slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Farley has his feet on Williams's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Farley swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Williams lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Farley gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Farley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Farley wants to stand and escape but Williams is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams stands up from guard. Let's bang! Williams throws a low kick, looking for Farley's leg but Farley calmly moves out of range. Farley tries to counter by clinching up but Williams breaks away and moves out of range. Williams gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. William Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Williams throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Farley tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Williams is in Farley's guard. Farley is looking to stand back up but Williams counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Farley. Farley is trying to stand up here but Williams is controlling him well. Farley tries to get to full guard but Williams has control of the leg. Williams is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Farley has managed to free his arm - good work. Williams is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Let's hope that Williams has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Farley is trying to stand.
Williams is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Farley is just riding it out for now. Williams eventually gives up the hold. Farley is trying to stand.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Williams postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Farley to stand up. Farley tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Farley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Williams shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Farley manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Williams scoring with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Farley throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Williams escapes and throws Farley's legs to the side, diving into side control! Farley is breathing heavily. A lull in the action here. Williams working the head with strikes. A lull in the action here as Williams stalls from top position. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Williams. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Farley uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Williams. Williams pushes Farley up against the cage in a clinch. Williams has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Farley is trying to keep an underhook but Williams manages to get the takedown into half guard. Farley tries to get to full guard but Williams has control of the leg. Farley is trying to escape back to his feet but Williams uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Farley is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Williams trying to control the position but Farley is working away. Williams takes a little break here. Farley wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Farley is trying to control Williams's posture but Williams avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams just content to control the position. Williams has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Williams closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Farley to the mat! Farley manages to get full guard. Farley kicks Williams off and gets to his feet. Farley tries to clinch but Williams is having none of it. Williams moves into the clinch. Farley fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Farley tries to pull guard but Williams forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Williams tightens his grip and picks Farley up, before dumping him to the ground. Farley manages to land in guard. William Williams has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Williams controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Farley pushes Williams off and gets back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Williams is looking to sweep but instead, Farley has passed into half guard.
Williams is looking to get back to full guard here but Farley has managed to pass to side control instead. Williams manages to work his way to half guard, despite Farley's best efforts. Williams wants to get back to full guard. Williams blocking the ground and pound attempt from Farley. Williams tries to roll over but Farley keeps him under control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
William Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Farley tries to clinch up but Williams circles away and keeps his distance. Williams rushes Farley and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Farley pulls Williams into guard.
Williams wants to control from the top but Farley keeps moving. Williams advances to half guard. Williams has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Williams with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Williams is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Farley tries to kick Williams off but Williams keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Williams winds up and cracks Farley with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Farley taking some punishment here, with Williams in his half guard. Williams is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Farley defends it well. Farley pushes Williams off looking to stand but Williams dives back in and keeps control.

Williams trying to control the pace. Ground and pound from Williams. Farley is looking for a sweep. Williams is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Williams wants to pass the guard but Farley is defending well. Williams takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Farley regains full guard. Nicely done. Williams must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Williams engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Farley is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Williams is controlling him. Williams landing with the ground and pound. Farley is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Williams is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Williams connects with a couple of short punches. Williams showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Farley gets caught napping as Williams dives in and scores a takedown. Farley manages to retain guard. Rex Farley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! William Williams is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Williams's corner is telling him to maintain position.
