Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sebastian Case (ranked 23109 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Bonsai (ranked 4651 p4p, 477 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sebastian Case! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Bonsai! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bonsai is defended easily by Case. Jeff Bonsai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bonsai fails in his attempt to clinch. Case is looking to counter with head kicks. Case tries to keep at a distance but Bonsai has taken the fight into the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Bonsai's face as he tries to break the clinch. Case could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Case throws a head punch that misses. Case's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bonsai has closed the distance and engaged Case in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Case escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bonsai changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Case tries to avoid it but Bonsai manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Case to the ground. Case escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bonsai shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sebastian Case has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Bonsai. Case rushes Bonsai and presses him up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bonsai tries to break the clinch but Case is controlling the position. Case throws a punch but it's blocked by Bonsai. Case fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Bonsai breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bonsai will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Case misses with some punches.
Case tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A body shot lands from Bonsai.

Case gets tackled into the cage by Bonsai. Bonsai maintains the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Case throws a punch but it's blocked by Bonsai. Case swings away with an uppercut that misses.
The referee is keeping an eye on Case - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Bonsai has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Case misses with a hook from the clinch. Case breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bonsai goes for a double leg but Case avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Case continues to drive forward. Bonsai fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Case, pushing him back against the cage. Case wants to stall.
Case tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Case throws a punch but it's blocked by Bonsai. Case blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Case pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Case tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Case wants to stall.
Bonsai is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Case to keep the fight standing. Bonsai tries to pull guard but Case forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Case dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Bonsai successfully pulls guard.
Case sitting in guard, not really doing much. Case working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Case won't allow Bonsai to sweep him here. Case lands a couple of elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Case in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bonsai working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Case. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Case is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Case is looking to work some ground and pound but Bonsai has wrist control. Case slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Bonsai is trying to keep Case in close.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Good work by Case as he checks the leg kick. Bonsai clinches with his opponent.

That was a close round but I would say that Sebastian Case will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Sebastian Case has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Bonsai. Case stalling against the cage.
Case is looking to control Bonsai's arms but Bonsai gets an underhook and turns him. Now Case has his back to the cage. Bonsai effectively controlling the action here. Bonsai fails to pull guard.
Bonsai tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Case smiles and moves away.
A jab lands there for Bonsai. Horrible takedown attempt by Bonsai or perhaps it was just good defense by Case, which made it look bad.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bonsai throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Case's waist but Case gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bonsai off to one side. Bonsai moves into the clinch successfully.
Case breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bonsai gets a clinch. Case manages to break the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bonsai looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bonsai forces Case back against the cage and clinches. Case escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sebastian Case will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Sebastian Case's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Bonsai throws a sloppy head kick and Case moves out of range easily. Bonsai shoots in for a takedown but Case shows good takedown defense. As Bonsai tries to get set, Case tries to push him back and clinch up but Bonsai manages to avoid the attempt. Bonsai is looking to clinch. Bonsai keeps the fight on the outside. Bonsai keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

That's one minute gone in the round. Case has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bonsai can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Case might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Case trying to keep a closed guard but Bonsai is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bonsai sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Case working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bonsai doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bonsai manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Case is pulling down on Bonsai's head to control his posture. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Bonsai is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Case takes the fight into the clinch. Bonsai gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Case manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bonsai manages to get himself to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Case scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Case seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bonsai has his hands on Case's head, controlling the position. Case's corner is telling him to maintain position. Bonsai is adopting a defensive guard. Case postures up and lands a big shot to Bonsai's brow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bonsai preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Case stands up over Bonsai, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Jeff Bonsai has got the better of the ground game so far. Bonsai trying to control the position here. Case postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Case distracts Bonsai with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Case postures up in Bonsai's guard and throws a big left but Bonsai blocks it. Bonsai is trying to keep Case in close.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bonsai looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jeff Bonsai has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sebastian Case is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bonsai looking for a sweep. Not yet Bonsai, not yet.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sebastian Case. Well Case has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
