Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Bennett (ranked 6042 p4p, 444 weight class) and Jake Ryan (ranked 5474 p4p, 415 weight class). Ryan has chosen No Limit as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justin Bennett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Ryan! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bennett changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ryan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Ryan bucks up and tries to throw Bennett off but instead Bennett has got his back! Bennett is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Ryan is defending well though. Bennett let's go of the attempt for now. Bennett will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Bennett is persistently looking for the submission but Ryan is defending it well.
Ryan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Ryan is having to fend off submission attempts from Bennett, who is looking to sink in the choke. Bennett doesn't have the hooks in though and Ryan manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bennett throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Bennett escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ryan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Ryan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennett looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bennett manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ryan manages to get himself to full guard.
Ryan keeping full guard, as Bennett tries to pass. Ryan wants to stand up but Bennett is controlling him. Bennett pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ryan is keeping the position for now. Bennett is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bennett sitting in guard, not really doing much. Bennett trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Ryan manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Ryan throwing strikes but missing. Bennett looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bennett pulls Ryan in close to prevent any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bennett is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bennett has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bennett is trying to take his opponent's back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bennett is working for a guillotine from mount but Ryan frees his head quite easily.
Bennett has control of Ryan's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ryan regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Bennett fails to advance to Ryan's back. Bennett controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryan wants to clinch up but Bennett keeps it at a distance. Bennett lands with a hook. Ryan tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Bennett dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Bennett throws a shot to the body.

It looks like Jake Ryan has been cut. Ryan takes a swing at Bennett's ribcage but misses. Ryan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bennett but Bennett pushes him off and we're back to square one. Bennett moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Bennett lands a big uppercut and Ryan crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ryan looks OK. Bennett waves Ryan back to his feet!
Ryan is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bennett connects with a body shot. Bennett lands a brutal uppercut that launches Ryan off his feet! Ryan tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
