The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buckingham shoots in and drives through. Ferret sprawls well.
Ferret appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Buckingham shoots in but no luck this time.
Buckingham darts in trying to clinch
and Ferret counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Ferret with a nice head shot there.
Buckingham trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ferret won't allow Buckingham to sweep him here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Buckingham can do anything to dispel that myth.
Buckingham is trying to control the position but Ferret postures up.
Ferret is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Ferret lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Ferret postures up and lands a big shot to Buckingham's brow.

Ferret is taking a breather. Buckingham says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Buckingham really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ferret. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ferret scores with a big shot! Buckingham's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Buckingham! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Teeth Ferret!
A relieved looking Teeth Ferret thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
