The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Meat Boy. Southall does a little dance to reset his feet.
Southall is looking for a counter combo.
Meat Boy misses with a series of wild punches.
Meat Boy throws out a loose jab but Southall uses good head movement to avoid it.
Meat Boy misses with a right hand
and Southall counters with a thumping low kick.
Meat Boy scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Neville Southall has been cut.

Southall connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Meat Boy throws out a loose jab but Southall uses good head movement to avoid it.
Meat Boy lands a big uppercut and Southall crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Southall looks OK. Meat Boy waves Southall back to his feet!

Meat Boy drops Southall with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Southall! Meat Boy dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Super Meat Boy!
Super Meat Boy decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
