Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between BiFe eL Sanctuary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Cabrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Cabrera is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, BiFe eL Sanctuary!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Cabrera!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
eL Sanctuary tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cabrera swivels and escapes.

eL Sanctuary escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cabrera gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Cabrera lands a head kick. eL Sanctuary smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

eL Sanctuary is breathing heavily.

Cabrera has hold of eL Sanctuary's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and eL Sanctuary manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
eL Sanctuary is trying desperately to improve position.

eL Sanctuary slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Cabrera stands up out of the half guard.
eL Sanctuary throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cabrera.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

eL Sanctuary takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Cabrera's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cabrera wants to control the position but eL Sanctuary frees himself and scrambles - Cabrera manages to regain control in side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
eL Sanctuary tries to clinch

and Cabrera moves into the clinch.
eL Sanctuary jumps guard but Cabrera stands there with eL Sanctuary around his waist. eL Sanctuary gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
eL Sanctuary is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Cabrera gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
eL Sanctuary throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

eL Sanctuary looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Cabrera dominated that round.
That's time! eL Sanctuary's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Cabrera feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

eL Sanctuary is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Cabrera throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

eL Sanctuary wants to control but Cabrera is keeping busy and won't allow it.

eL Sanctuary can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cabrera controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

David Cabrera has got the better of the ground game so far.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now eL Sanctuary is on top in guard.

eL Sanctuary is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cabrera is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
eL Sanctuary trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Cabrera is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

David Cabrera showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Cabrera feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to eL Sanctuary's calf.
eL Sanctuary shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cabrera counters with a head kick. That will keep eL Sanctuary thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

eL Sanctuary throws and elbow that misses. Cabrera uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in eL Sanctuary's guard. Nice move by Cabrera!

eL Sanctuary has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cabrera is working away from the top position though.
David Cabrera is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

David Cabrera comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cabrera has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
