Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Logan Nail (ranked 3250 p4p, 380 weight class) and Travis Banks (ranked 6368 p4p, 564 weight class). Banks has chosen Darling as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Logan Nail! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Travis Banks! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banks gets off balance looking for a body kick and Nail counters by moving into the clinch. Banks misses with the head strike.
Nail slowing the pace effectively. Banks decides to pull guard. Banks is looking to stand up but Nail isn't so interested in that idea. Banks can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Nail controls the pace. Banks working for a triangle but Nail defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Banks controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banks lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Banks looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Nail tries to land a sweep but no joy. Banks stays in close to Nail's body and controls the position. Nail working a defensive guard but Banks manages to pass into side control anyway.
Nail knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Banks on the ground. Banks just content to control the position. Nail gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Nail on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Nail tries to get out of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Banks looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Banks sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Nail tries to lock up and control but Banks gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Banks punishing his opponent with strikes. Banks sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Nail tries to hold on but Banks postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banks has control of Nail's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Nail regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Banks throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Nail because Banks loaded up on that one. Banks is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Nail has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Nail can't escape the position.
Banks controlling the pace for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Banks working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Nail is desperately trying to improve his position but Banks has a good base and remains in mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Banks throwing strikes here but Nail is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Travis Banks dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Banks shoots in for a double leg but Nail sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Banks misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Nail is looking to counter the offense by Banks and move into the clinch. Banks with a poor takedown and Nail counters by clinching up. Logan Nail has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Travis Banks. Banks can't break the clinch.

Banks is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Nail is defending well. Nail unloads a knee to the mid-section. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nail crunches a lovely knee into Banks's ribcage. Banks is breathing heavily. Knees in the clinch landing for Nail.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Nail takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Nail drops Banks with a big knee straight up the middle! Banks is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Banks is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Banks keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A solid body kick from Nail. Logan Nail is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Banks keeps the fight on the outside. Banks fails to land the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nail pushes Banks up against the cage in a clinch. Stalling in the clinch from Nail.

Banks jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nail walks away with a smile on his face. Banks gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Banks throws a head kick but Nail moves out of range.
Nail tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Banks manages to circle out of the way. Nail moves into range and clinches up with Banks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nail crunches a lovely knee into Banks's ribcage. Nail utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Nail scores a nice knee to the body.

Banks is still on wobbly legs! Can Nail finish him? I was talking to Nail's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Knees to the body from Nail.
Banks seems to have recovered his senses. Nail lands a big knee to the head and Banks goes down! Nail pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!
