Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Utu Mutu (ranked 5283 p4p, 482 weight class) and Betrdanu Son (ranked 2635 p4p, 291 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Utu Mutu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Betrdanu Son! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Son tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mutu manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Son gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mutu. Mutu avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mutu works over Son's head and body with a nice combination. Mutu stuffs the takedown. Mutu throws a big counter combination but Son scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Son tries to close the distance and clinch but Mutu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mutu closes the distance and lands a one-two. Son doesn't manage to clinch there - Mutu circles away.
Son darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Son throwing shots but Mutu is blocking nicely. Mutu on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mutu tries to get out of the position. Mutu is looking for a sweep. Son is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Son missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Son is looking to take a break and control but Mutu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mutu is trying to get back to full guard. Son is thwarting Mutu's attempts to control the position. Son has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Son is working for a kimura but Mutu is defending it quite comfortably.
Mutu is refusing to be controlled, as Son sits in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mutu wants to get back to full guard. Mutu trying to control here.
Mutu is staying active underneath Son, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Mutu won't allow Son to pass to mount. Son is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Son missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Mutu is holding on to half guard well. Mutu trying to control but Son postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Utu Mutu dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Son tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mutu sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Son somewhat. Mutu swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Mutu misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Son lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Son misses with a looping right. The fight stays on the outside here - Son looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Son tries to clinch there but Mutu circles away.
Son tries to clinch but fails miserably and Mutu counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Son takes the fight into the clinch. Good body shot from Mutu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mutu has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Son clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! This has been an exciting period of action! Son is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Mutu is landing with strikes from the back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mutu keeps control of the position as Son tries to break free.
Son trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Mutu lands a shot to the head. Son is trapped and Mutu is scoring with shots to the head and body. Son grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Mutu throwing damaging strikes from the back! Son could be in trouble here!
Son is really stuck here.
Mutu lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Son rolls, trying to escape but Mutu keeps control of the position.
Mutu is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Son can do to turn this around? Mutu trying to control. Son wants to escape the position.
Mutu lands an elbow to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mutu is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Son tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Mutu avoids the attempt from Son to control. Son has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Mutu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Son on the ground. Mutu looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mutu loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Son scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Mutu land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Mutu stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Utu Mutu!
