Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Steven Lurkman (ranked 4072 p4p, 183 weight class) and Zhang Jun (ranked 3279 p4p, 165 weight class). Zhang Jun has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Steven Lurkman's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Steven Lurkman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zhang Jun! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lurkman throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Jun showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lurkman.
Decent striking displayed by Lurkman there. Jun shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Lurkman changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Jun dives in and grabs Lurkman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lurkman pushes down on Jun's head and hops out. Lurkman lands a head shot. Jun shoots in for a takedown but Lurkman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Steven Lurkman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zhang Jun. Jun closes the distance and clinches. A bit of stalling here from Jun.
Lurkman takes a shot to the head. Jun tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Jun jumps guard and drags Lurkman to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lurkman controls from within his opponent's guard. Our spies down at at Zero Tolerance inform us that Jun has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
That's one minute gone in the round. Jun keeping full guard, as Lurkman tries to pass. Lurkman has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Lurkman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Lurkman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jun has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lurkman has managed to get both his arms back between Jun's legs - danger averted. Lurkman preventing the sweep. Lurkman looking to pass the guard. Lurkman looking to sit in guard and control but Jun gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lurkman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jun manages to get himself to full guard.
Jun working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lurkman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lurkman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jun has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lurkman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Lurkman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Lurkman looking to sit in guard and control but Jun gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Jun postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lurkman is really struggling to control Jun but he's trying to hold on to the position. Lurkman has Jun pulled in close to control his posture. Jun lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Lurkman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jun with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Jun postures up and lands a big shot to Lurkman's brow. Jun makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Jun lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Lurkman is rocked! Jun lands a couple of decent looking shots. Oh Lurkman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Jun lands a couple of elbows. Jun throws a big right hand that misses. Jun is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Jun arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Lurkman's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
