Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carl Brooks (ranked 1745 p4p, 199 weight class) and Hairuddin Abdul Rahim (ranked 4316 p4p, 365 weight class). Brooks comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem - Phenomenal. Hairuddin Abdul Rahim has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Abdul Rahim will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Abdul Rahim with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Brooks to score with a decent uppercut.

Carl Brooks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hairuddin Abdul Rahim.
Brooks goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Hairuddin Abdul Rahim has been cut.
Abdul Rahim takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Brooks shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Abdul Rahim's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brooks pushes down on Abdul Rahim's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Brooks wants to work for an arm triangle but Abdul Rahim is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Brooks uses his free foot to push down on Abdul Rahim's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Abdul Rahim.

Abdul Rahim really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brooks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

In his post fight interview, Carl Brooks started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
