Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Philo Beddo (ranked 2967 p4p, 358 weight class) and Doppo Orochi (ranked 865 p4p, 124 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Philo Beddo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Doppo Orochi!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beddo shoots in but no luck this time.
That kick from Orochi tenderised Beddo's leg. Beddo is trying to keep his angry face on.

Beddo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Orochi tries to land a sweep but no joy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beddo shoots in looking for a takedown but Orochi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Beddo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Orochi is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Beddo with a body shot.

Beddo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Orochi pulls him back up using the underhooks.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Beddo just misses with a elbow thrown towards Orochi's brow.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Orochi connects with a nice short shot to Beddo's temple.

The fighters circle momentarily. Orochi darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Beddo throws a body shot but no joy.
Beddo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Orochi moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Orochi counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Beddo thinking.
Orochi throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Orochi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Beddo. That did some damage!
Orochi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Beddo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Orochi but Orochi pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Doppo Orochi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Orochi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Beddo walks forward, straight into a front kick from Orochi.
Orochi scores with a shot to the body.

Orochi drops Beddo with a big left hand and mounts him. Beddo is in big trouble!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Beddo is looking to improve his position but Orochi isn't that keen on the idea.

Orochi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Beddo is looking to escape.
Philo Beddo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Orochi softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Beddo is out cold! Orochi jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Doppo Orochi!
After the fight, Doppo Orochi was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
