Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Viko Maafala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Trill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Trill's choice of entrance music: They Will Kill Us All - The Bronx. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Viko Maafala! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Trill! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trill scores with a crisp jab that stopped Maafala in his tracks.
It looks like Viko Maafala has been cut. Trill misses with an uppercut. Maafala saw that one coming. Trill waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Maafala. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Maafala to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Trill looking to pass the guard. Trill won't allow Maafala to sweep him here. Maafala is working hard here to advance position. Trill is looking to stand up but Maafala won't let him. Trill tries to free his leg and advance position but Maafala is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Trill won't allow Maafala to sweep him here. Maafala on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Maafala tries to get out of the position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Maafala is on top in guard.
Trill looking for a sweep. Not yet Trill, not yet. Trill manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Maafala manages to get himself to full guard.
Maafala pulls Trill in close to prevent any damage. Trill is looking to stand up but Maafala won't let him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Trill decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Maafala, up you get!
That's one minute gone in the round. Maafala drives through with a takedown into guard. Trill is trying to control the position but Maafala postures up. Maafala is working Trill over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Trill keeping moving, preventing Maafala from controlling successfully. Trill is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Maafala landing some decent shots from guard. Trill tries to land a sweep but no joy. Maafala is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Maafala with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Maafala trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Trill wants to stand and escape but Maafala is having none of it. Maafala throws a big right hand that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maafala throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Trill works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Trill scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Viko Maafala's cut is getting worse. Trill throws a right hand that Maafala ducks under and follows up with a left that Maafala also avoids with ease. Trill gets caught flat footed, as Maafala shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Maafala is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Maafala trying to control the position from guard on top but Trill is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Maafala is stalling in the full guard. Trill really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maafala. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Trill is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Maafala's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Trill keeping moving, preventing Maafala from controlling successfully. Trill wants to stand but Maafala is controlling the position. Trill is pulling down on Maafala's head. It's preventing any offense from Maafala, at least for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maafala postures up and lands a big shot to Trill's brow. Trill wants to stand up but Maafala is controlling him. Trill avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Maafala is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Trill trying to control the position.
Trill preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Maafala distracts Trill with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Maafala has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Maafala preventing the sweep. Trill has Maafala pulled in close to control his posture. Maafala keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Trill's head. Maafala showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trill wants to get back to his feet but Maafala is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Trill keeping moving, preventing Maafala from controlling successfully. Maafala thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Trill is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Trill is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Maafala preventing the sweep. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Trill throws a looping overhand right but Maafala ducks down to avoid it. Maafala is looking to clinch. Maafala closes the distance and pushes Trill back into the cage. Maafala goes for a takedown in the clinch but Trill prevents it.
Trill avoids the elbow strike from Maafala, against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Trill dominated that round. The cut man is working on Viko Maafala's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Maafala changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Maafala tries to clinch up. Maafala moves in looking to clinch but Trill pushes him off. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Maafala moves out of range of the strikes. Trill drops Maafala with a left and a right! Oh, Maafala is hurt - Trill dives into side control looking to finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Trill tries to stand but Maafala is controlling his head. Maafala is looking for a sweep. You can see the frustration on Maafala's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Trill blocks the strikes from Maafala.
Maafala regains half guard. Trill not doing much here.
Maafala wants to control but Trill is keeping busy.
Maafala might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Trill is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Let's hope that Trill has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trill working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Maafala's thigh. Maafala counters though and makes it back to full guard. Trill stands up and waves to Maafala to follow him. Maafala tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Andrew Trill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Trill lands a jab-cross combination.
Jeez, Viko Maafala's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Viko Maafala's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
