The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Kendle enables Forman to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kendle manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Forman is pushing down on Kendle's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kendle is fighting to maintain full guard but Forman has managed to sneak the leg through.
Kendle has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Forman is working away from the top position though.
Kendle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Forman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Forman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Forman wants it to stay on the feet.
No joy there for Kendle, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kendle feints a jab promting Forman to slip. Kendle then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Forman slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Geogia Forman.
