Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Freddie Figgjo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sebastian Lindman! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Figgjo lands a slapping body shot.
Figgjo shoots in but no luck this time. Figgjo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lindman fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Figgjo tries to bum rush Lindman with a series of wild strikes but Lindman uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Figgjo throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Figgjo throws a sloppy head kick and Lindman moves out of range easily. Figgjo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Figgjo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lindman. Figgjo is breathing heavily. Lindman shoots in and drives through. Figgjo sprawls well. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Figgjo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lindman - the referee stops the clock and Figgjo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lindman. Figgjo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Figgjo tries to clinch up. Lindman gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Figgjo slows down the pace here.
Lindman wants to get back to striking at distance but Figgjo won't allow it.
Figgjo drags the fight down to the ground.
Lindman wants to pass the guard but Figgjo is keeping the position. Figgjo is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Figgjo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lindman trying to control the position from guard on top but Figgjo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Figgjo wants to get back to his feet but Lindman is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Lindman wants to control from the top but Figgjo keeps moving. Lindman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Figgjo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lindman is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Figgjo has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Lindman is looking to defend but Figgjo has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Lindman! Figgjo pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Lindman taps out and this one is all over!
