Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Joe Bone (ranked 1525 p4p, 200 weight class) and Red Cup (ranked 6052 p4p, 493 weight class). Bone comes into the arena with You'll Never Walk Alone blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 11 wins and 5 losses; Joe Bone! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 3 losses; Red Cup! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Bone shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Bone (2) vs (0) Cup Cup tries to get to full guard but Bone has control of the leg. Cup is staying active underneath Bone, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Bone is pressing down on Cup's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cup is holding on for now. Cup wants to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bone takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Bone wants to pass to mount but Cup is defending the position. Cup looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bone perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Cup says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Bone trying to control from half guard but Cup is working away. Cup wants to improve his position but Bone is controlling well.

Bone sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cup's guard. Still in half guard, Bone seems content to control. Cup looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Cup is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Cup trying to hold on to Bone's head to control him but Bone postures up.
Cup might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bone haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Cup looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Bone pushes past his half guard into mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Bone (5) vs (0) Cup The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Bone wants to take Cup's back but he can't do it this time.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Bone trying to control but he's not successful this time. Bone wants to take his opponent's back but Cup doesn't allow it. Cup tries to hold on but Bone postures up. Bone takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Cup is trying to escape the mount.
Cup tries to lock up and control but Bone gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Bone is trying to take his opponent's back.
Bone tries to control but Cup wriggling away. Cup wants to hold on but Bone pushes him away.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Cup prevents Bone from taking his back. Cup keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Cup stops Bone from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Bone wants to control the pace but Cup is squirming around nicely. Cup tries to control Bone's body but Bone pushes him off. Cup squirms to his side and now Bone has his back! Score +3 for taking back: Bone (8) vs (0) Cup
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Bone wants to control but Cup is keeping busy. Bone seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Bone is not going to allow Cup to sit and survive in this position. Bone trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Cup trying to control but not successfully. Bone is looking for the choke from the back position but Cup is controlling his hands well. Cup trying to control the hands but Bone breaks the grip. Bone is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Cup has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Cup fending off the submission attempt from Bone.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Cup trying to control the hands but Bone won't let him. Bone looking to break Cup's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Cup remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Bone will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Cup trying to control the action but Bone just sinks the hooks in.
That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Bone is hanging on to Cup's back as he tries to escape.
Cup staying busy and making it hard for Bone to control. Bone has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Cup's body.
Bone is trying to stick to Cup's back but Cup is turning into Bone. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bone's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Cup.
