Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kiro Kirov (ranked 1918 p4p, 214 weight class) and Goldilocks OmegaBear (ranked 3372 p4p, 314 weight class). Kiro Kirov has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OmegaBear displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kirov.

Kirov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kirov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kirov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

OmegaBear is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Kirov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so OmegaBear is just riding it out for now. Kirov eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kirov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

You can see the frustration on OmegaBear's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kirov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. OmegaBear is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

I was talking to Kirov's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Kirov has OmegaBear pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kirov pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending OmegaBear tumbling to the mat - Kirov dives into OmegaBear's guard.

Kirov throws a strike but OmegaBear rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

OmegaBear is fighting to break Kirov's control of his arms but Kirov is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Kirov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. OmegaBear gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Goldilocks OmegaBear showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Well OmegaBear has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
