Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sid Sellers (ranked 4613 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krzysztof Diaz (ranked 3690 p4p, 0 weight class). Krzysztof Diaz is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sid Sellers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Krzysztof Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz throws a nice looking combination but Sellers bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Some wild striking there from Diaz.
Sellers tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Diaz manages to circle out of the way.
Diaz falls off balance throwing a combination

and Sellers counters with a takedown into side control.

Diaz sneaks out the side door and pushes Sellers away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Sellers dodges the punch combination from Diaz.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Diaz takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Sellers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sellers circles away from the clinch attempt.
Diaz misses with a jab, cross combination.
Diaz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sellers moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
As Diaz tries to get set, Sellers tries to push him back and clinch up but Diaz manages to avoid the attempt.
Diaz thows a body kick. Sellers tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Diaz misses with a knee strike.
Diaz tries a knee to the head but Sellers blocks it.

Sellers manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Sellers wants to sweep here but Diaz controlling him for the moment.
Diaz has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sellers is proving hard to escape from.

Sellers seems keen to control Diaz's posture.

Diaz wants to stand and escape but instead Sellers has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Sellers is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Sellers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sellers slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sellers with a flurry of punches that miss.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Sellers jabs Diaz to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Sellers tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Diaz tries to keep at a distance but Sellers has taken the fight into the clinch.

Sellers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sellers displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Diaz throws out the jab.
Sellers seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Sellers lands a high kick!
Krzysztof Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz throws a right and a left that both miss.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Sellers closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Diaz to the mat! Diaz manages to get full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sellers content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Sellers stands up over Diaz, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Sellers will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sellers postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Diaz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sellers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sellers connects with a couple of short punches.
Sellers keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Diaz's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sid Sellers will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Sellers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Diaz ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Diaz just misses with a punch to the body.
Sellers lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Diaz's corner calls for a 1-2. Diaz obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.


It looks like Sid Sellers has been cut.
Sellers tries a head kick but it misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diaz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sellers attempts a counter takedown but Diaz avoids it well and moves away.

Diaz closes the distance and clinches.
Diaz landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sellers tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Diaz just stands there and leans against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Diaz pushes Sellers back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Diaz unloads a knee to the mid-section. Sellers lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Diaz putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Sellers in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Diaz lands a big knee from the Thai clinch and Sellers goes down hard! The ref takes a good look at him but he's still defending himself. Diaz in side control.


Sellers is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Diaz stands up.
Oh Sellers is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Diaz moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Sellers! Diaz continues to tee off on Sellers, landing with a left and a right! Diaz connects with a right hand that leaves Sellers sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Diaz!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Krzysztof Diaz!
