Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dino Carson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Williams! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick by Carson misses and Williams counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Carson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Carson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Williams appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Carson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Carson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Carson has his takedown stuffed letting Williams counter with a right hand. Williams's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Williams duly obliges. Carson with a lazy takedown attempt and Williams connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Carson throws a sloppy head kick and Williams cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carson misses with a combination
and Williams counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carson takes one to the chin there. Williams lands a nice shot to the body.
Williams lands a nice hook to Carson's body. Carson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Carson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Williams counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dino Carson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carson doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Williams to counter with a crisp jab. Williams comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Williams with a body punch. Carson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Williams counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Carson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Williams scores with a punch to the head. Carson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Williams is trying to defend but Carson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Williams manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Carson keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Williams lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Williams dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Carson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Jim Williams seems to be getting the better of the standup. Carson throws a sloppy body shot
and Williams counters with a nice body shot. Williams fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Carson on the side of the head. Williams cracks a nice hook into Carson's ribs. Carson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Williams defends well and Carson ends up having to push Williams into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Carson gets a double leg takedown into Williams's guard. Carson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carson pushes down on Williams's leg and manages to get into half guard. Williams manages to escape and get back to his feet! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. This has been an exciting period of action! Carson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Williams counters with a one-two to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams thuds his right hand into Carson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Carson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Decent striking displayed by Williams there. Williams scores with a jab to the body. Nice uppercut there from Williams. Dino Carson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Carson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Carson misses with a takedown and Williams counters with a one-two to the body. A punch lands to the side of Carson 's head but he takes it in his stride. Williams scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Williams counters with a left to the body. Carson looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

and Williams counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Williams changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Williams defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Carson. We've been informed that Williams has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Carson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Carson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Williams lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Carson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Carson shoots in looking for a takedown but Williams manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Carson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Williams lands with a nice body punch. Williams has been the more effective fighter overall so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jim Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

And that's the end of the fight! Jim Williams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Williams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
