Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cung Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conway kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is ! ! ! (chk chk chk)- Yadnus. Cung Le has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Brandon Conway's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Le. No joy for Conway on that attempt. No luck for Conway with that takedown attempt. Conway shoots in for a takedown but Le shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brandon Conway. That's going to take a lot out of him. Conway avoids the head kick by Le.
Conway throws a low kick but it's checked well by Le. Conway darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Conway is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Le is just riding it out for now. Conway eventually gives up the hold. Conway wants to work for an arm triangle but Le is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conway throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Conway not landing any meaningful shots this time. Conway is looking for a kimura but Le is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Conway to get the leverage. Conway throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Le really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Conway. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Le trying to control from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Conway avoids the head kick by Le.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Conway misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Le displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Conway throws out the jab. Le looks to land a combination but Conway avoids it well. Le throws a sloppy head kick and Conway moves out of range easily. Le wants to clinch. Conway swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Conway lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Conway darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Conway missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Conway thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Le's head. Conway lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Le avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Conway. Conway will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Conway sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Le defending well though. Le is trying to get back to full guard. Conway throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Conway shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Le as he avoids it easily. No luck for Conway with that takedown attempt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Le stuffs the takedown attempt from Conway. Conway gets slowly back to his feet. Conway is breathing heavily. Conway circles away from the clinch attempt.

Brandon Conway dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Conway gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Le trying to control but Conway is working from the bottom. Conway throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Conway has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Conway looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Conway trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Le trying to control but Conway is working from the bottom. Conway looking to hit a scissor sweep but Le is one step ahead there. Conway is working hard here to advance position. Conway striking off his back but it's not causing Le any problems.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Le tries a head kick but it misses.
Conway misses with a takedown attempt and Le counters with a shoot takedown. Conway fights it but they end up in guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Le would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Le won't allow Conway to sweep him here. Conway bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Le's guard. Conway looking to pass the guard. Conway drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Le dives on top into guard. Conway doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Conway looking for a sweep. Not yet Conway, not yet. Le looking to sit in guard and control but Conway gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Conway wants to pass the guard but Le is keeping the position. Conway drops back looking for a leg! Le is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Le manages to kick Conway off! Conway jumps back into Le's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Le not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Conway fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Le sprawls well initially but Conway persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Conway lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Conway is keen to just control but Le is a slippery customer. Le is trying to stand up here but Conway is controlling him well. Conway looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Conway thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Brandon Conway will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Conway shoots in looking for a takedown. Le tries to sprawl out of it but Conway keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Le manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Conway misses with a series of wild punches.
Brandon Conway seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Conway fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Le showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Conway.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Conway feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Conway sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Le's guard. Conway landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Conway takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Le keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Conway trying to control from half guard but Le is working away. Conway content to control rather than advance. Conway looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Conway is nestled in close to Le, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Le is staying active underneath Conway, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Conway has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Le defend it? Conway steps over the head and cranks it - Le is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Conway!
