Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yuri Bedlaminov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Knock Out! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Out fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bedlaminov manages to avoid it. Out takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Knock Out has been cut. A slow jab from Bedlaminov misses its intended target. Bedlaminov throws a series of punches but Out avoids them all with ease. Out defending well as Bedlaminov loads up on a big left hand. Bedlaminov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bedlaminov throws a head kick but Out moves out of range.
Out looks like he wants to counter punch here. Out throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bedlaminov counters with an outside leg kick.
Out scores with a hook.
It looks like Yuri Bedlaminov has been cut. Bedlaminov moves out of range of the strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Out moves out of range of the body kick. Bedlaminov blocks a jab. It looked like Bedlaminov wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Out is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bedlaminov. Bedlaminov jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bedlaminov ducks under a wild hook from Out. Out has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. A looping hook to the body misses from Out. Bedlaminov does a little dance to reset his feet. Bedlaminov misses the shot to the body. Out is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Bedlaminov misses with a combination
and Out counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bedlaminov misses with a body shot
enabling Out to counter with a crisp jab. Bedlaminov doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Out displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bedlaminov throws out the jab. Out pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Bedlaminov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Out moves away. Out looks like he wants to counter punch here. Bedlaminov throws a hook but Out avoids it easily. Bedlaminov throws a nice looking combination but Out bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Out defending well as Bedlaminov loads up on a big left hand. Out tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bedlaminov misses with an attempted mid kick.
Out cracks Bedlaminov with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Out ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bedlaminov moves away. Bedlaminov throws a counter high kick but Out was just alert enough to avoid it. Bedlaminov throws a head kick that misses. Bedlaminov throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Out counter with a right hand.
Yuri Bedlaminov's cut is getting worse. Yuri Bedlaminov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bedlaminov throws out a loose jab but Out uses good head movement to avoid it. Bedlaminov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Bedlaminov misses with a straight right. Out doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Bedlaminov swings away with a body shot that misses
enabling Out to counter with a crisp jab. Bedlaminov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Out makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Bedlaminov lands with a slapping head kick. Out ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Bedlaminov is breathing heavily. Out stuns Bedlaminov with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
