Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erich Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Meadows (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeremy Meadows acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Erich Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeremy Meadows! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Meadows feints and as Johnson raises his hands in defense, Meadows changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Johnson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Meadows throws a strike but Johnson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Meadows looking to hit a scissor sweep but Johnson is one step ahead there. Johnson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Meadows working for a triangle but Johnson defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meadows wants to sweep but no luck. Meadows trying to strike off his back.
Johnson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Johnson throws a series of strikes that have Meadows backpedaling.
Meadows misses with a double jab
and Meadows takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Meadows tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Meadows scores with a one two! Johnson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Erich Johnson has been cut. A head kick misses from Johnson. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Meadows changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to avoid it but Meadows manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson to the ground. Johnson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Meadows looks gassed! Johnson misses with a double jab.
Johnson gets caught flat footed, as Meadows shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson wants to get back to his feet but Meadows is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet. Meadows missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Johnson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Johnson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Meadows. Meadows with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Meadows drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Johnson dives on top into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Meadows manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Johnson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Meadows breaks from Johnson's wrist control and lands an elbow. Meadows throwing strikes here but Johnson is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Meadows unloads with some shots from mount but Johnson bucks and avoids them well.
Meadows working for a submission but Johnson is keeping him at bay. Meadows throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Meadows misses with a head shot. You get the feeling that Johnson really doesn't like being in this position too much.
BOOM! Meadows connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Meadows cracks Johnson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Meadows has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Johnson is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jeremy Meadows!
