The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayes throws a body shot but no joy.
Roby is looking to clinch but Hayes is avoiding it.
Roby closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hayes wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Roby is trying to get an arm triangle but Hayes is defending well.
Roby is working to tighten his grip on Hayes's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Hayes has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Roby is really squeezing tight and eventually Hayes passes out! Roby breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
