The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kopp doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Stripa counters with a takedown into side control.
Kopp is trying to control Stripa's posture but Stripa avoids it.
Kopp is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Stripa is staying active.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stripa working away.
Kopp tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Stripa is looking to take a break and control but Kopp is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Kopp tries to bench press Stripa off him but Stripa keeps the position.
Kopp sneaks back into half guard.
Kopp is trying to get back to full guard.
Kopp is trying to control but can't.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kopp moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kopp is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Stripa frees his head nicely. Oh but Kopp has switched to an armbar! Stripa is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
