Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Skillz Kneeland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Deshawn Perrez!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perrez dives in for a single leg takedown but Kneeland sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kneeland changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Kneeland's corner calls for a 1-2. Kneeland obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Perrez shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kneeland defends it nicely.

Perrez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Perrez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Kneeland bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Perrez shoots for a takedown but Kneeland saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kneeland attempts a counter takedown but Perrez avoids it well and moves away.
Skillz Kneeland has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deshawn Perrez.
Perrez shoots for a double leg takedown but Kneeland sprawls well. He's pushed Perrez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kneeland tries to counter with a takedown but Perrez is quick to defend against it.
Perrez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kneeland tries to avoid it but Perrez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kneeland to the ground. Kneeland escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Oooooh!!! Kneeland has knocked Perrez down with a huge combo! Kneeland steps away and waves a wobbly Perrez back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Perrez is rocked!


It looks like Deshawn Perrez has been cut.
Kneeland has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Perrez looks winded!
Kneeland lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Perrez up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Kneeland from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Perrez's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Skillz Kneeland!
