Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chase Travis (ranked 5274 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Mickael (ranked 4628 p4p, 0 weight class). Igor Mickael will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chase Travis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Igor Mickael! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mickael drives through with a takedown into guard. Mickael controls from within his opponent's guard. Travis throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Mickael won't allow Travis to sweep him here. Mickael with a nice head shot there. Mickael drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mickael jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Travis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Travis looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Travis is working hard here to advance position. Mickael must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Travis pulls Mickael in close to prevent any damage. Travis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mickael's guard. Travis stopping the sweep attempt from Mickael.

Travis postures up and lands a big shot to Mickael's brow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Travis cracks Mickael with a solid left hand. Mickael wants to sweep here but Travis controlling him for the moment. Travis wants to control from the top but Mickael keeps moving. Travis preventing the sweep. Mickael preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Travis postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Travis decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Mickael, up you get! Mickael drives through and clinches with Travis against the cage.
Mickael wants the takedown. Travis is fighting it off but Mickael persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Travis's guard against the cage.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Travis is keen to just control but Mickael is a slippery customer. Travis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Travis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mickael sees it coming and defends easily. Mickael is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mickael on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Mickael is holding on to half guard well. Mickael is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Travis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Travis seems to be working for a kimura but Mickael defends the submission attempt. Travis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mickael with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Travis thows a huge punch but Mickael dodges it nicely.

Mickael is not content to let Travis control the position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Travis connects with a nice short shot to Mickael's temple. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nice strikes from Travis there. Mickael tries to get to full guard but Travis has control of the leg. Travis working over Mickael with some ground and pound. Mickael looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chase Travis dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mickael stalks Travis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Travis's face. Travis staggers backwards, shaken. Mickael drives through with a takedown into guard. Travis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mickael is one step ahead there. Chase Travis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mickael stands and steps away. Travis gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Mickael is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Travis's half guard. Mickael is keen to just control but Travis is a slippery customer. Travis is pressing down on Mickael's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Travis wants to sweep but no luck. Travis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mickael manages to get himself to full guard.

He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Travis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mickael seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Chase Travis showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Travis, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
