Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sai Zane (ranked 4972 p4p, 458 weight class) and Cedric Corolt (ranked 5242 p4p, 0 weight class). Sai Zane has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zane tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Corolt defends well and Zane ends up having to push Corolt into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Corolt! But no joy.
Corolt ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Jab from Corolt.
Cedric Corolt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Corolt throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zane sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Zane slips under a jab.
Zane's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Corolt connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Zane scrambles back to his feet.
A big left from Corolt misses.
Nice defenses there by Zane.
Zane slips a jab from Corolt.
Zane is looking to counter the offense by Corolt and move into the clinch.
Zane's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Corolt connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Zane scrambles back to his feet.
Zane shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Corolt sprawls well. Corolt wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zane gets slowly back to his feet.

Corolt drops Zane with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Zane looks back up at him and smiles so Corolt waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Zane is rocked!

Zane tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Corolt looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Corolt thuds a left hand into Zane's body.

Corolt gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Zane to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Zane controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Zane wants to stand but Corolt has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Corolt lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Cedric Corolt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheers as Corolt lands an impressive looking overhand right. Zane doesn't seem phased though.
Zane closes the distance and clinches up with Corolt, looking for a takedown. Zane pushes Corolt against the cage but Corolt circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sai Zane. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Zane has Corolt up against the cage in a clinch.
Corolt throws a punch but it's blocked by Zane.

Zane manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Zane is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Corolt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Corolt is sitting in close to Zane's body. Zane has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Corolt is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Corolt is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Zane.
