The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkanovski fails with an attempt to clinch.
Johnson with a lazy takedown attempt
and Volkanovski counters with a three punch combo that has Johnson backing up. Johnson nods at Volkanovski to acknowledge the strikes.

Johnson went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Johnson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Volkanovski prevents it.

Johnson is trying to drag Volkanovski to the mat but Volkanovski just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Johnson has had enough of the clinch but Volkanovski keeps him there for the moment.

Johnson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Volkanovski defend it? Johnson steps over the head and cranks it - Volkanovski is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Johnson!
