Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Napoleon Marsh (ranked 24359 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evin Barnes (ranked 24511 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Napoleon Marsh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evin Barnes! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Marsh. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Marsh. Nice takedown defense from Marsh. No joy for Barnes on that attempt. The fight moves into the clinch position. Marsh really is a fat lump. Marsh pulls guard successfully.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barnes being controlled here momentarily. Barnes preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marsh throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Barnes's corner is telling him to maintain position. Barnes postures up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Marsh wants to hit a switch here but Barnes passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Marsh there! Marsh sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Marsh manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Barnes keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Marsh blocking some punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A nice right hand lands inside from Marsh. Marsh is defending well against a takedown attempt. Marsh holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Marsh effectively controlling the action here. Marsh manages to break the clinch.
Marsh clinches up against the cage. Marsh looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Marsh manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Marsh lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Marsh postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Barnes is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Marsh, into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barnes trying to control but Marsh is working from the bottom. Barnes makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Barnes throws a big right hand that misses. Barnes would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Barnes trying to control the position from guard on top but Marsh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Barnes lands a couple of elbows. Barnes stands up from guard. Let's bang! Barnes clinches up with Marsh and pushes him back against the cage. Barnes stalls. Barnes is trying to pull guard but Marsh turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Napoleon Marsh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evin Barnes. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Barnes goes for a takedown in the clinch but Marsh prevents it.
Marsh's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Napoleon Marsh dominated that round. That's time! Marsh's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A head kick misses from Barnes. Marsh wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Marsh fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Barnes sprawls well initially but Marsh persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Napoleon Marsh overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Marsh prevents Barnes from improving his position. Barnes trying to control but Marsh postures up.
Barnes wants to get back to his feet.
Marsh is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Barnes doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Marsh. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barnes tries to roll over but Marsh keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marsh performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Barnes looking for submissions off his back. Marsh decides to return to a standing position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Marsh gets tackled into the cage by Barnes. Barnes maintains the clinch. Barnes tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Marsh is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Barnes is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Marsh is defending well for now. Barnes drops down looking for an ankle pick but Marsh pulls his leg out and moves away.

Barnes is breathing heavily. Marsh pulls guard effortlessly.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barnes won't allow Marsh to sweep him here. Barnes throws a strike but Marsh rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Marsh not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Marsh stands up over Barnes, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Marsh preventing the sweep. Barnes working a defensive guard here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Marsh working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Barnes's head. Marsh sitting in guard, not really doing much. Marsh lands a couple of digs. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Barnes looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Marsh puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Marsh controlling the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Napoleon Marsh dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Barnes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Marsh counters with a shoot takedown. Barnes fights it but they end up in guard. Marsh is looking to work some ground and pound but Barnes has wrist control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barnes wants to control the position but Marsh says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Marsh not doing much here.
Marsh's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ground and pound from Marsh. Barnes wants to get back to full guard but Marsh has passed into side control. You can see the frustration on Barnes's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Barnes on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Marsh is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Barnes will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Barnes is looking to reverse the position. Barnes takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Barnes is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Marsh is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Marsh unloading with bombs! Barnes is desperately trying to improve his position but Marsh has a good base and remains in mount. Marsh controlling the position easily from mount. Marsh breaks from Barnes's wrist control and lands an elbow. Barnes wants to control but Marsh is having none of it. Barnes is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Marsh is staying active.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marsh lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Marsh with the ground and pound from mount. Marsh controlling his opponent. Barnes is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marsh lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Marsh looking to control and managing it successfully. Further stalling from Marsh. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Marsh looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
And that's the end of the fight! Napoleon Marsh showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Marsh, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
