Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lucien Kessler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bobby Kingston!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kingston closes the distance and pushes Kessler back into the cage.

Kingston has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kessler uses from the top position.
Kessler wants to pass the guard but Kingston is keeping the position.

Kessler drops back looking for a leg! Kingston is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kingston manages to kick Kessler off! Kessler jumps back into Kingston's guard.
Kingston seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Kessler got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kingston has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kessler has managed to get both his arms back between Kingston's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kingston working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kessler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kessler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kessler drops back looking for a leg! Kingston is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kingston manages to kick Kessler off! Kessler jumps back into Kingston's guard.
Kessler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kingston swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kessler wants to free his trapped foot but Kingston is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Kingston is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kessler pulls his head out easily.

Bobby Kingston dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kingston throws a nice looking combination but Kessler bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kingston misses with a hook to the body
and Kessler connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kingston fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Kessler counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kingston moves out of range as Kessler strikes.

Kingston's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Kessler throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kingstons head.

Kingston jumps into guard, dragging Kessler to the mat.

Kingston gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kessler is trying to stick to Kingston's back but Kingston is turning into Kessler. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kessler's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kingston.

and Kingston takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Kessler lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Kessler lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kingston backwards.

Kingston is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kessler is aware though and is defending well.

Kessler has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kingston to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kessler is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kingston pulls down on the head and he's put Kessler to sleep! This one is all over!
