Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Juan Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jock Ferguson!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Ferguson tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ferguson closes the distance and clinches.
Ferguson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ferguson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Silva has closed the distance and engaged Ferguson in a clinch.
Ferguson breaks the clinch.
Ferguson tries to clinch up
letting Silva counter with a right hand.
Ferguson tries to clinch but Silva is having none of it.
Silva scores with a jab to the body.
Ferguson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Silva finds it's way round the side to connect with Ferguson's head.
Ferguson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Silva counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Silva lands with a good body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ferguson closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the cage.
Ferguson manages to break the clinch.
Ferguson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ferguson tries to clinch but Silva moves away
and Ferguson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ferguson closes the distance and clinches.
A short right from Ferguson.
Ferguson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Silva misses with a short punch on the inside.
Silva throws a head punch that misses.
Silva misses with some punches.
Silva swings wildly with an uppercut but Ferguson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Silva tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ferguson's elbow.
Ferguson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ferguson cracks Silva's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Silva slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Ferguson can do further damage! This one is done, son!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jock Ferguson!
Jock Ferguson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
