PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Plushmaster (ranked 24748 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Haley (ranked 24760 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jeff Plushmaster has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jeff Plushmaster seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Haley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Haley stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Haley wants it to stay on the feet.
Plushmaster changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Haley tries to avoid it but Plushmaster manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Haley to the ground. Haley escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Plushmaster shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Haley's guard.

Haley has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Plushmaster has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Plushmaster shoots in looking for a takedown but Haley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Plushmaster's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As Haley looks to move away, Plushmaster throws a big counter combo but Haley just gets out of the way.

Plushmaster closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Plushmaster wants to take a breather but Haley is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jeff Plushmaster overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
