Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 4598 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Vein (ranked 6614 p4p, 573 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Fedor Emelianenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Will Vein! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko throws a leg kick that is checked and Vein moves into the clinch. Vein tries to break free but Emelianenko pushes him back against the cage. Emelianenko tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Vein avoids it. Emelianenko goes for a takedown in the clinch but Vein prevents it.
Emelianenko gets a trip takedown into half guard. Vein pushes Emelianenko off looking to stand but Emelianenko dives back in and keeps control.
Vein is trying to control but can't.
Emelianenko trying to control the action but Vein is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Emelianenko is taking a breather. Vein says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Vein is staying active underneath Emelianenko, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko works his foot free and advances to mount. Emelianenko wants to control the pace but Vein is squirming around nicely. Vein takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Vein is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Vein is looking to escape. Vein wants to hold on but Emelianenko pushes him away. Emelianenko with good strikes from the mount here! Emelianenko in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Emelianenko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Vein looks winded! Emelianenko lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Emelianenko cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vein is trying desperately to improve position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Emelianenko trying to control but he's not successful this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Emelianenko blocks Vein's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Emelianenko wants to control the pace but Vein is squirming around nicely. Vein is trying desperately to improve position. Emelianenko with good strikes from the mount here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Vein has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Vein! Emelianenko is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Vein is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Emelianenko is looking to stand up but Vein isn't so interested in that idea. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Emelianenko is trying to keep Vein in close.

Fedor Emelianenko dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vein as he jumps to the side. Vein let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Emelianenko scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Vein manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Vein trying to pass the guard but Emelianenko defending well. Vein is still trying to improve position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Emelianenko works his way to full guard. Good work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Vein postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Emelianenko lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Vein not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Vein thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Vein is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Vein keeping full guard, as Emelianenko tries to pass. Emelianenko is working hard here to advance position. Vein pulls Emelianenko in close to his closed guard and prevents Emelianenko from doing any damage or advancing position. Vein's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Vein changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Emelianenko tries to avoid it but Vein manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Emelianenko to the ground. Emelianenko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vein circles away from the clinch attempt.
Emelianenko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vein's waist but Vein gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Emelianenko off to one side. Emelianenko takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Emelianenko fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Vein to the ground. Emelianenko is now in Vein's guard. Vein is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Emelianenko presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Vein tries to break the clinch but Emelianenko is controlling the position. Emelianenko breaks the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Vein has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Emelianenko seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Vein can turn it around. Emelianenko tries to pull guard but Vein won't allow it.

Vein is defending well but Emelianenko drives through and ends up in Vein's guard. Vein has his feet on Emelianenko's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Fedor Emelianenko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Emelianenko is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Vein lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Vein tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Emelianenko defends well and Vein ends up having to push Emelianenko into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Emelianenko has closed the distance and engaged Vein in a clinch.
Emelianenko keeps control of Vein as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Emelianenko works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Vein pushes Emelianenko off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Vein goes for a double leg but Emelianenko avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Emelianenko continues to drive forward.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vein throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Emelianenko counters with a solid body kick. Emelianenko wants to clinch up but Vein keeps it at a distance. Vein cracks Emelianenko with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Vein tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Emelianenko defends well and Vein ends up having to push Emelianenko into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Vein just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromEmelianenko. Vein will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Vein showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Emelianenko.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Emelianenko is defended easily by Vein. Emelianenko gets tackled into the cage by Vein. Vein maintains the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko is trying to stall.
Emelianenko jumps guard but Vein stands there with Emelianenko around his waist. Emelianenko gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Emelianenko has Vein pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Vein manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Vein lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Vein lands a right hand that snaps the head of Emelianenko backwards.
And that's the end of the fight! Will Vein comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Vein has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
