0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alberto Moreno! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Dean Styles and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moreno swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ramirez. Moreno misses with a lunging right hand
and Ramirez counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ramirez. Ramirez keeps control of Moreno as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Moreno wants to break free but Ramirez has control.

Moreno manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Moreno swinging wildly here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Moreno misses with a jab, cross combination.

Ramirez appears to be looking for a counter takedown. The fight stays on the outside here - Moreno looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ramirez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Moreno defends well and Ramirez ends up having to push Moreno into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Ramirez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Moreno did well to prevent Ramirez getting side control. Moreno pushes Ramirez off but Ramirez dives into side control.
Moreno looks winded! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ramirez decides to stand up, so the ref orders Moreno to his feet. Ramirez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Moreno circles away. Moreno throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ramirez tries to counter by clinching up but Moreno breaks away and moves out of range. Ramirez closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Moreno quickly recovers to half guard. Moreno wants to get back to his feet.
Still in half guard, Ramirez seems content to control. Moreno is trying to stand up here but Ramirez is controlling him well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Moreno gets caught napping as Ramirez dives in and scores a takedown. Moreno manages to retain guard. Moreno is looking to stand back up but Ramirez counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Moreno. Moreno wants to stand back up but Ramirez manages to pass into side control.
Moreno throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Moreno tries to clinch but Ramirez moves away and Ramirez counters with a one-two to the body. Moreno will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ramirez drives through and clinches with Moreno against the cage.

Sloppy strikes from Moreno. Those never looked like landing. Moreno might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Moreno stuffs the takedown. Moreno swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Moreno tries to clinch but Ramirez moves out of range. Moreno tries to clinch up but Ramirez circles away and keeps his distance. Moreno connects with the punch. Ramirez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Moreno. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jose Arroya Ramirez will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Moreno gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Ramirez is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
