Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Murad Tursunboev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Igor Bogdanov! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bogdanov tries to keep at a distance but Tursunboev has taken the fight into the clinch. Bogdanov is defending well against a takedown attempt. Bogdanov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bogdanov moves into range and clinches up with Tursunboev. Bogdanov tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Bogdanov gets underhooks to prevent Tursunboev's takedown attempt.
Bogdanov taking a breather. Tursunboev decides to pull guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bogdanov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bogdanov stopping the sweep attempt from Tursunboev. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tursunboev has an active guard here but Bogdanov has managed to pass into half guard.

Tursunboev has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Bogdanov is on him like a limpet, forcing Tursunboev back against the cage. Bogdanov tries to pull guard but Tursunboev won't allow it.
Bogdanov throws a head punch that misses. Tursunboev goes for a takedown attempt but Bogdanov pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Murad Tursunboev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bogdanov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tursunboev's waist but Tursunboev gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bogdanov off to one side. A head kick misses from Tursunboev. Tursunboev tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The fight stays on the outside here - Bogdanov looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Tursunboev really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Tursunboev swats away the attempt to clinch by Bogdanov. Bogdanov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tursunboev.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tursunboev closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bogdanov to the mat! Bogdanov manages to get full guard. Bogdanov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bogdanov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tursunboev controls the pace. Bogdanov controlling the position. Tursunboev throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bogdanov works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Bogdanov throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Bogdanov looking for a sweep. Not yet Bogdanov, not yet. Bogdanov wants to get back to his feet but Tursunboev is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tursunboev drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bogdanov looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bogdanov looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bogdanov! Bogdanov is looking to take a break and control but Tursunboev is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bogdanov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tursunboev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tursunboev is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Tursunboev sneaks back into half guard.

Bogdanov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tursunboev keeps working. Bogdanov stalling away here and it's allowed Tursunboev to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Bogdanov is looking to work some ground and pound but Tursunboev has wrist control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tursunboev is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bogdanov is aware though and is defending well. Tursunboev trying to control the position.

Bogdanov scores with a takedown into Tursunboev's guard. Tursunboev is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Tursunboev pulls Bogdanov in close to his closed guard and prevents Bogdanov from doing any damage or advancing position. Bogdanov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bogdanov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bogdanov wants to control from the top but Tursunboev keeps moving. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tursunboev wants it to stay on the feet. Tursunboev tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Bogdanov manages to circle out of the way. Bogdanov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tursunboev's waist but Tursunboev gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bogdanov off to one side. Tursunboev moves into the clinch. Bogdanov jumps guard but Tursunboev stands there with Bogdanov around his waist. Bogdanov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Tursunboev keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tursunboev misses with a takedown attempt - Bogdanov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bogdanov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tursunboev can pounce on him.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tursunboev. Bogdanov moves in looking to clinch but Tursunboev pushes him off. Bogdanov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tursunboev's waist but Tursunboev gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bogdanov off to one side. Tursunboev tries to clinch up. Bogdanov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tursunboev but Tursunboev pushes him off and we're back to square one. Tursunboev is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Bogdanov. Tursunboev has closed the distance and engaged Bogdanov in a clinch.

Tursunboev manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bogdanov on his heels. He'll look to pass Bogdanov's guard now, I'm sure. Tursunboev is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Bogdanov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bogdanov pushes Tursunboev off and scrambles back to his feet.

He's persisting with it as Bogdanov sprawls well. Bogdanov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tursunboev gets slowly back to his feet. Bogdanov wants to control the action here but instead Tursunboev manages to pass to full mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tursunboev controlling his opponent. Bogdanov holds on to Tursunboev around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks. Bogdanov is trying to escape the mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Tursunboev is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bogdanov has managed to free his arm - good work. Bogdanov wants to control but Tursunboev is keeping busy.
Bogdanov might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Tursunboev haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Bogdanov wants to improve his position but Tursunboev is controlling well.
Tursunboev content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Murad Tursunboev overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Horrible takedown attempt by Bogdanov or perhaps it was just good defense by Tursunboev, which made it look bad. Tursunboev shoots in looking for a takedown. Bogdanov tries to sprawl out of it but Tursunboev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bogdanov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bogdanov dives in and grabs Tursunboev's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tursunboev pushes down on Bogdanov's head and hops out. Murad Tursunboev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Igor Bogdanov. Tursunboev closes the distance looking to clinch and Bogdanov counters with a right hand to the body.

Tursunboev displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bogdanov. Bogdanov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tursunboev. Tursunboev shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bogdanov as he jumps to the side. Tursunboev shoots for a takedown but Bogdanov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Bogdanov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tursunboev sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bogdanov somewhat. Igor Bogdanov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Murad Tursunboev is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tursunboev checks the leg kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Murad Tursunboev showed his dominance in that final round. Well Tursunboev has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
