Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between DeShawn Jackson (ranked 828 p4p, 93 weight class) and Ruslan Temirov (ranked 913 p4p, 103 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Green Card. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 19 - 3, fighting out of New York, DeShawn Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ruslan Temirov! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Temirov throws a hook but Jackson avoids it easily. Temirov pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jackson back to the cage. Temirov follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Jackson misses with a looping right. Temirov closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Jackson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Temirov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jackson.

Jab by Temirov. Jackson shoots in and gets a takedown into Temirov's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jackson stopping the sweep attempt from Temirov. Jackson scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Jackson throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Temirov is trying to control the position but Jackson postures up. Jackson lands a couple of decent looking shots. Temirov is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Temirov keeping full guard, as Jackson tries to pass. Temirov preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jackson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jackson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Jackson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Temirov rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jackson's guard! Nice work there by Temirov! Jackson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jackson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Temirov is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Temirov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Jackson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Temirov is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jackson. Temirov decides to stand back up. Jackson throws a sloppy body shot
and Temirov counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Temirov closes the distance and lands a one-two. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A swing and a miss from Jackson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Temirov motions for Jackson to come forward. Temirov throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Temirov looks to throw the jab but Jackson is out of range. Ruslan Temirov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jackson takes a swing at Temirov's ribcage but misses. Temirov lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Temirov thuds a left hand into Jackson's body. Jackson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Temirov. Temirov obviously looking to wear him down.

DeShawn Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jackson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Temirov connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jackson scrambles back to his feet. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jackson.
Jackson throws a jab when Temirov was well out of range. Temirov looks like he wants to counter punch here. Jackson misses with a looping left. Temirov throws a body punch but Jackson moves out of range. Temirov is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Jackson rather than just go for the knockout. Temirov thows a left - swing and a miss! Jackson slips a straight right by Temirov. Temirov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Temirov moves away. Jackson throws a body shot but no joy. Temirov let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Nice defenses there by Temirov. Jackson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Temirov.
A little feinted left hand from Jackson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Temirov throws a right hand that Jackson ducks under and follows up with a left that Jackson also avoids with ease. Temirov moves out of range of the strikes. Temirov feints a counter leg kick. Jackson misses with a hook
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Temirov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jackson.
Jackson connects with a body shot that sends Temirov's belly button to the back. Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Temirov wants to reverse the position here. Jackson has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Temirov is forced to tap! Temirov looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). DeShawn Jackson! DeShawn Jackson tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
