Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris McAllister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and matt mitrione (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! mitrione with a nice cross.
It looks like Chris McAllister has been cut. mitrione gets caught flat footed, as McAllister shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. McAllister scores with a decent looking elbow strike. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! mitrione throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
McAllister working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of mitrione's head. mitrione wants to get back to his feet but McAllister passes into half guard.

McAllister lands with some vicious ground and pound - can mitrione hang on? mitrione is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. mitrione wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
McAllister takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. McAllister has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! mitrione throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
