Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brutus Leagatius (ranked 1175 p4p, 142 weight class) and Super Meat Boy (ranked 952 p4p, 119 weight class). Super Meat Boy struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 267.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Super Meat Boy!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Meat Boy.
Meat Boy steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Leagatius.
Meat Boy on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Meat Boy avoids the body shot from Leagatius.
Leagatius walks into a jab.
It looks like Brutus Leagatius has been cut.
Meat Boy pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A little feinted left hand from Leagatius on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Meat Boy lands with an overhand left.
Meat Boy cracks Leagatius with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Meat Boy has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Leagatius to stand back up!
Leagatius is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Meat Boy lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Leagatius head around and knocks him out cold! Meat Boy hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Super Meat Boy!
In his post fight interview, Super Meat Boy started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
