Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chadwick Lynch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hans Upperman! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Upperman throws a right hand that Lynch ducks under and follows up with a left that Lynch also avoids with ease. Lynch throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lynch takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Lynch drives through with a takedown into Upperman's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Lynch gets to his feet. Upperman looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Upperman looks winded! Lynch tries for a takedown but Upperman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lynch wants to clinch and Upperman counters with a low kick, right behind Lynch 's knee. Upperman is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Lynch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Upperman throws a nice looking combination but Lynch bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Upperman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Lynch closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Upperman did well to prevent Lynch getting side control. Lynch not doing much here.

Lynch's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Upperman is trying to maintain the position but Lynch is very close to passing his half guard. Lynch escapes and gets back to his feet. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Lynch closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Upperman's guard. Upperman has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The Samurai - Elite Fight Club. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Lynch is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Lynch slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynch drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lynch jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lynch is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Lynch with a flurry of punches that miss. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lynch slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Lynch decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Upperman, up you get! Upperman tries to keep at a distance but Lynch has taken the fight into the clinch. Lynch has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Upperman uses from the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lynch pulls Upperman in close to his closed guard and prevents Upperman from doing any damage or advancing position. Upperman with a flurry of punches that miss. Lynch is looking for a triangle but Upperman pushes his legs off easily.
Lynch has control of Upperman's left arm, preventing Upperman from doing any damage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lynch wants to stand and escape but Upperman is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chadwick Lynch dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Upperman throws a one two combo.
Lynch pushes Upperman up against the cage in a clinch. Upperman lands a nice knee to the body. Lynch jumps guard but Upperman stands there with Lynch around his waist. Lynch gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Lynch ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lynch no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Lynch controlling Upperman's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lynch continues to stall. Upperman is breathing heavily. Upperman working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Chadwick Lynch overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Upperman postures up in Lynch's guard and throws a big left but Lynch blocks it. Lynch wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Lynch wants to get back to his feet but Upperman is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Upperman won't allow Lynch to sweep him here. Lynch trying to control the position here. Upperman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lynch closes the distance and pushes Upperman back into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Upperman misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Lynch.

Upperman unloads a knee to the mid-section. Upperman drags the fight down to the ground.
Lynch controls from within his opponent's guard. Lynch makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Upperman can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lynch controls the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynch avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Lynch stays in close to Upperman's body and controls the position. Lynch drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lynch jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lynch seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Upperman thows a left - swing and a miss!
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Lynch tries to clinch but Upperman is having none of it. And Upperman tries to counter it with a takedown but Lynch pushes his down on his head and steps out. Lynch looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Upperman is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Lynch dives into side control.
Lynch thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Lynch works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Upperman is letting Lynch control him for a moment. Lynch has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Chadwick Lynch will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Lynch jumps guard and drags Upperman to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Upperman throwing strikes but missing. Lynch controlling the position. Upperman throwing strikes but missing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lynch has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. This is a sustained period of stalling by Lynch. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Upperman throws a wild body kick that Lynch sees coming a mile off. Lynch throws a right hand that Upperman ducks under and follows up with a left that Upperman also avoids with ease. Lynch is looking to clinch but Upperman is avoiding it.
Lynch shoots in looking for a takedown but Upperman manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lynch's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A punch combination from Upperman misses. Lynch throws the kick towards the body but Upperman avoids it. Upperman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hans Upperman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynch tries to score a power double leg takedown but Upperman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lynch somewhat. Lynch throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Upperman drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Lynch defends it well. Lynch shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Upperman defends it nicely. A little jabbing left from Upperman on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chadwick Lynch. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Upperman lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Lynch tries to clinch but Upperman moves out of range. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lynch misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Upperman throws out a counter right but Lynch avoids it with no problem. Hans Upperman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chadwick Lynch is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Lynch throws a head kick but Upperman moves out of range.
And that's the end of the fight! Hans Upperman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Lynch has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
